A family holding hands at sunrise

A Western Australian advocacy initiative

Falsely Accused WA

False accusations. Real consequences.

Standing alongside families across Western Australia carrying the weight of allegations that have changed everything.

Our mission

We exist for the families left in the silence after an accusation.

Falsely Accused WA is a community-led initiative that supports Western Australian families navigating the emotional, financial, social and legal consequences of false accusations. We do not investigate cases or determine guilt or innocence. We listen, we connect, and we make sure no family walks this road alone.

The human cost

An accusation lands once. The fallout never stops.

The consequences ripple outward — through homes, workplaces, schools and communities — long before any legal process concludes.

Children

Disrupted schooling, separation from a parent, confusion and trauma carried quietly.

Partners

Strained marriages, isolation, and the loneliness of standing beside the accused.

Parents

Watching adult children unravel — and the helplessness of being unable to fix it.

Finances

Legal fees, lost employment, mortgage stress, and savings drained over months or years.

Reputation

Reputations built over decades undone in days, often before any finding is made.

Mental Health

Depression, anxiety, PTSD and suicidality — affecting the accused and everyone who loves them.

The hidden victims

False accusations don't just destroy one person. They destroy everyone they love.

Innocent lives, real consequences — a family torn apart by false accusations

Behind every allegation is a partner, a parent, and often children — carrying the weight quietly, every day.

Why WA

A state-specific conversation, long overdue.

Western Australia's distinct legal landscape, the size of our state, and the tight-knit nature of regional communities create unique pressures for families facing allegations. Long distances to courts and specialist support, limited access to legal aid, and the speed at which information travels through small towns can compound an already devastating experience.

Families here often feel invisible — caught between national conversations that don't reflect WA reality and local services without the capacity to walk the full journey alongside them.

We are working to change that, one conversation, one story, one family at a time.
